(PRWeb UK) July 1, 2010 — Having completed work for Conders Garage in the past, the Peterborough signs and graphics company was asked to help with its plans to promote the Isuzu Rodeo which would be used at several shows in the coming months.

The brief was to produce vehicle graphics in the style of a previous Isuzu Rodeo vehicle which was used in the Dakar Rally by Isuzu in Australia. The Peterborough team used a range of vinyls to recreate the design including Avery cast vinyl printed on MD5 with clear laminate and also Mactac cast vinyl, these were then applied to the Rodeo as a partial wrap.

Signs Express (Peterborough) owner Anne Hitch commented on the project: “When we were asked to produce the graphics there were no quality images available so we had to work from old photographs to recreate the UK version of the Australian vehicle. This involved re-designing the layout to include the UK flag rather than Australian; changing the colours to red, white and blue; and also adding sponsorship logos and replacing Dakar Rally references with Conders. It was a challenge, especially as some of the angles of the vehicles are slightly complicated for wrapping purposes, but we were happy to be given the challenge.”

The campaign which involves the Isuzu Rodeo travelling to different regions in the UK to promotional shows, will help both Conders and Isuzu (UK) promote both the vehicle and the Isuzu brand.

Dealer principal at Conders Garage, Ian Armstrong spoke highly of the Signs Express centre: “We have just completed a three day show in the East of England and the graphics really did create a great deal of interest and encouraged people to visit our stand. The High Court heard Qatari Diar, owner of the Chelsea Barracks site in London, deleted e-mails to stop the role of the royals being presented as evidence.

Developers the Candy brothers claim the project fell through after the Prince of Wales complained to their partner.

Qatari Diar’s lawyer said the allegations were “unjustified”.

The plans were to build 552 modernist flats on the 12.8-acre site, which the Qatari Diar CPC consortium bought for £959m.

Qatar’s prime minister Sheik Hamad bin Jasim, who is also a cousin of the Emir, is the chairman of Qatari Diar.

The case, initially heard by Mr Justice Vos last month, came back to the court following the allegations.

The judge has now called for new witness statements.

A 30-page preview is provided to the user for review. The user purchases the book online from the PediaPress web site, and book files are then uploaded to Lightning Source for manufacturing. Printed books are then shipped to their final destination from the closest of Lightning’s networked print facilities.

Mr. Hees explained that the aim of PediaPress is “to capitalize upon best-of-class technology to bring affordable books and textbooks to the corners of the world, where books and education in some geographic areas is still a luxury.”

(PRWEB) May 16, 2010 — Scottish web-developers are playing their part in the clean-up effort around The Gulf of Mexico. A social media powered website for the public to collect and share oil spill data has been developed by EdgeCase: gulfcoastspill.com.

The site’s main function is to collect images, videos and reports from people impacted by the spill and to make them available to the public. People can upload images of oil on beaches, injured wildlife and volunteer activities among other things.

The goal of the project is to speed recovery by crowd sourcing information and making this information readily available to recovery teams. It is expected that Gulfcoastspill.com’s data will be used by emergency response teams, wildlife organisations, educational institutions and volunteer groups.

In addition to gathering and displaying reports, Gulfcoastspill.com will also provide information on the spill and recovery tools such as a business income loss calculator.

Paul Wilson, of EdgeCase Scotland and one of the lead developers on the site explains:
“The potential of social media to aid the oil spill recovery effort by giving the public a platform to share images and the location of damaged wildlife is amazing.
